Begin by noticing

Choose a familiar, safe route and slow down. Notice how space is used: people passing through, stopping or caring for plants. Record what happens before adding your interpretation.

Turn curiosity into a question

What makes people feel cared for? Whose needs may be overlooked? Turn one detail into an open question and invite other experiences.

Leave room for a next step

Choose a small, reversible attempt. Explain your evidence, observation method and limits. Record changes and the changes that did not happen. Check sources and respect people’s wishes before sharing.

A 15-minute question card

One place, one change, one source, one question. Use words or a sketch without photographing identifiable strangers or collecting personal information.
